Set the Night on Fire... Olympic Torch Bid By Hull

As preparations continue for the 2012 London Olympics, the City of Hull has put in a bid to play host to the Olympic Torch. The Olympic Torch is set to travel around the UK on a seventy day journey as part of the 2012 Olympic ceremonies. It is thought that many people will travel by train and road, by both car and private event coach hire, to watch events take place. Many sports stars and celebrities will join in with the festivities and it is hoped the people of Britain will turn out to give their full support.

Many cities have bid to take part in the celebrations, knowing that tourism and interest in their towns will increase as a result. 'One Hull', hope to be successful in their bid to have the famous flame burn in their city for a whole night – hoping to draw crowds of people, from far and wide, to join in with parties and also to feature a 'major' celebrity for the event. If the city are successful in their bid, then tourists planning to visit the area are advised to book their accommodation, travel plans and private coach hire in advance, to get the best deals available.

The Olympic Flame will conclude its journey in London, arriving in the city the weekend before the games begin. It is hoped by the event organisers that over ninety per cent of the population of Britain will be within one hour travelling time from the iconic light at some point during its travels.
