London 2012 Countdown

The 'Inside the Games' team have announced the date on which the Olympic Flame will arrive in the United Kingdom as being Friday 18th May, 2012. The London 2012 Olympic Torch will then travel around the UK for seventy days – giving firms a chance to book corporate coach hire to a ceremony near them – before arriving in London on July 27th 2012.

It is expected that as many as eight thousand torch bearers could be chosen to take part in the Olympic Flame's Journey around the UK and that a large majority of those chosen will be young people. As the event is designed to bring communities together and to really allow the people of the UK to feel involved in the Olympics, there will be a Torch Bearers nomination process, beginning in May next year, where people can nominate their chosen candidate to join in this 'once in a lifetime opportunity'.

Also, the London 2012 team have announced that the torch will pass within 'one hours travel' of everyone in the UK, so booking corporate coach hire to your nearest Olympic Flame destination should be relatively easy and budget friendly.

During the weekend prior to the games starting July 27th 2012 when the Olympic Flame reaches London, there will be a huge ceremony. If you are passionate about the Olympics and want to soak up the experience, then this is where you will want to be.
