Edinburgh International Film Festival 16th - 27th June 2010

Dated 03/06/2010 by J Wood

The Edinburgh Film Festival runs this year from Wednesday 16th June until Sunday 27th June. However, the festival enjoyed its official launch on the 1st June and box offices opened on the 3rd and 4th of June for bookings. Those hoping to travel to the festival are advised to book travel and accommodation early to avoid disappointment. With any major event coach hire can be a far more comfortable and indeed economic option than driving or public transport.

The Edinburgh International Film Festival has seen many cult classics and global gems 'discovered' - with its most famous titles including Tarantino's Pulp Fiction in 1994 and The Piano in 1993.

Those attending this years films can look forward to cinematic masterpieces such as Restrepo - an Afghanistan war film, Superhero Me – a UK mild mannered comedic jaunt, Two Eyes Staring – a Dutch horror of 'The Vanishing' proportions and Soul Boy – an African coming of age movie.

Booking tickets for the festival is easy – simply log on to the website and pick and choose your desired films and drop them into your shopping cart. Those travelling to the 64th film festival in large groups could consider event coach hire to take them there. Travelling in groups is a cost effective way to spread the cost of travel and can be great fun with friends and family.

Other delights to look out for this year include 3D films and 0D films – which is a film that consists of sound only!
